What's It All About?

Be2camp is an organisation dedicated to bringing together people interested in revolutionising how we network so that we can all get greater benefit from much better contacts. Be2Camp stands for "Social Media In The Built Environment" and looks at how social tools are changing the way we do business.

Be2camp has held a series of events across the UK with considerable success. Details of previous events are available on the be2camp website.

Be2camp events will not attempt to SELL you anything - ever! The events are about sharing what we know, gaining great connections for your business to succeed in these difficult times. Events will be live streamed via the internet and live tweeted by attending members.

Where & When?

The first Be2campEast event will be in Chelmsford, Essex on 29 April 2010.

The half-day event will have a particular emphasis on property and aim to help people understand more about Web 2.0 applications (social tools) for people in the property industry from architects to developers, from facilities managers to construction marketeers.

Be2CampEast is supporting the EACH Treehouse charity appeal (http://www.each.org.uk/treehouse) 

The treehouse appeal is attempting to raise £3 million before Christmas to build a hospice for terminally ill children in Essex and Suffolk. We hope to be joined by a speaker from the project.

Speakers & Format

Be2camp events are a fun mix of networking, a few 15 minute presentations from our sponsors and a petcha-kucha  session (- quick fire presentations from those with high profiles in and around property and social media.) We are on a mission to teach people how to use social media to to their best advantage whatever the company size.

Pecha Kucha Details

Pecha Kucha events consist of lots presentations rather than the tired format of just one presenter.Each presenter having 20 slides, each shown for 20 seconds. Each presenter has just 6 minutes 40 seconds to explain their ideas before the next presenter takes the stage. Conceived as a venue through which young designers could meet, show their work, exchange ideas, and network, the format keeps presentations concise, fast-paced and entertaining.
